CERTIFICATE

PROGRAMS

The Center for Nonprofit Studies (CNS) offers several Certificates in critical areas of nonprofit practice: Nonprofit Leadership and Management, Effective Fundraising, Nonprofit Financial Management, Volunteer Management, and Grant Writing.

We recognize many nonprofit practitioners and volunteer leaders come to their work through passion, rather than by way of a formal education that has taught individuals how to effectively lead, manage, and manifest their passion.

CNS is looking to bridge this educational gap for those working within the Central Texas nonprofit sector and beyond. Our Certificates offer a systematic and comprehensive approach to learning, which focuses on participants becoming more self-aware, confident, and reflective leaders. Further, we aim to garner our Alumni with a strong sense of professionalism, commitment and passion as the continue to work within the nonprofit sector.

Our Certificate faculty are impassioned experts with extensive experience in their specific areas of practice. Each is an ardent advocate of the effective nonprofit principles and practices, and seek to impart this knowledge to all Certificate participants.

Participants receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that may be applied toward their disciplines’ professional development credits.

All Certificates are eligible for AmeriCorps education award funds and Hazlewood Act tuition exemption programs.
