AmeriCorps VISTA at Hope Clinic

Complete a year of national service and gain experience working in areas such as Communications and Marketing, Volunteer Management, Community Outreach, and Recruitment, Development and Fundraising. The Hope Clinic Community Engagement VISTA will work to break the cycle of poverty in the greater Austin area by creating a cohesive volunteer engagement program and enhancing community awareness of the clinic’s practices through a consistent online presence on social media and other platforms.

AmeriCorps provides VISTAs with a living allowance, education award, loan deferment, non-competitive eligibility, and professional development.

Hope Clinic is a free medical clinic providing compassionate healthcare to uninsured or underinsured people in the Austin area. There is a small staff and many volunteers including doctors, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, RN’s, med techs, pharmacists and non-medical support staff. We need your skills to run the clinic well.

The VISTA position will last for one year, with a chance to continue for a second term. Must be able to work 35-40 hours a week.
