Welcome to
Project Management
Institute
Program Overview
This intensive introductory level short learning opportunity in creating and managing small nonprofit projects helps to prepare those with little-to-no formal project management education to establish a framework for and run small, simple projects in their work environment.
The emphasis of this practical course is on introducing some of the terminology, techniques, and basic tools useful for understanding the project ENVIRONMENT and running simple non-profit-oriented projects through the creation and application of proper COMMUNICATION, ORGANIZATION, and CONTROL processes.
Upon completion, you will be able to: (1) Set up and run more effective non-profit projects (e.g. public events, new product/service/marketing developments, organizational process improvements, etc.); and (2) Describe and apply project management tools, techniques, and concepts to real-world projects.
A Nonprofit Austin Course Completion Certificate worth 1.2 continuing education units (CEUs) will be awarded for completion of course requirements.
Before you register, please be sure you can commit to participating in each session. Any student missing more than an hour of scheduled class sessions will not qualify for a completion certificate.
