Who Knew?
For the past 10 years the Center for Nonprofit Studies has been offering its Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management. With well over 200 alumni, it has provided significant professional development opportunities and positively impacted many, many local agencies. But who knew that we were in the business of “stackable credentials” – which is now a major focus of our Austin Community College?
So what’s a “stackable credential” anyway?: “a student earns a variety of credentials in related fields that, when taken collectively, prepare them for a specific type of job.”
Our focus is workforce development for the nonprofit community within the ACC District. To that end, we are expanding our Certificate programs, promoting adherence to fundamental principles and practices, expanding our presence throughout the ACC District, and exploring new ways through which CNS can serve the College and the nonprofit community.
