Executive Assistant I
Erica L. Figueroa
With over two decades of professional and personal dedication, I bring a unique blend of administrative expertise, financial oversight, and operational leadership. I am a proud mother of four and have been married for 7 years, balancing family life with a fulfilling career in both public and nonprofit sectors.
My career includes extensive experience in administrative support, budget management, data entry, and bookkeeping for several Independent School Districts, the University of Texas, and the Office of the Attorney General. Most recently, I served as Director of Finance for a nonprofit organization, where I was entrusted with building financial systems and organizational procedures from the ground up.
In this role, I ensured compliance with multiple grants by aligning all purchases with their respective funding requirements, while also supporting day-to-day operations across departments. I implemented key operational improvements including enhanced lobby security with keypad access, internal communications updates such as shared email groups for accounts payable, and even assisted with staff needs like professional headshots.
I am passionate about modernizing systems, promoting efficiency, and helping organizations evolve to meet today’s demands—all while staying grounded in a strong sense of integrity, accountability, and service.
