AIR 2025 registration is now open!
We’re thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) 2025!

AIR is an annual accessibility website-building contest. Teams of web pros learn about accessibility and use their new skills to compete for top honors by creating a site for a local charity. This fun, friendly competition builds community around the powerful idea of equal access to the web for all.

AIR is actively seeking sponsors, web professionals, volunteers, and NPOs & artists to help make the digital world more accessible to all.

Who can participate?

  • Nonprofits, artists, and community groups that want to work with a team of web pros to create or improve their website for accessibility.
  • Web professionals across all roles who want to learn or improve their inclusive design skills.
  • Experienced accessibility practitioners to serve as trainers, judges and team mentors.
  • Anyone who wants to build a more inclusive digital world for people with disabilities

How AIR works
In eight weeks, web teams work with their assigned nonprofit with help from their accessibility mentor to build a compelling – and fully accessible – website.

The competition runs from mid-September to mid-November, with an awards ceremony in January. Outside of working with your team and organization, it includes four major events, all of which are conducted virtually:

  • Registration Deadline (September 13, 2025)
  • AIR Kickoff (September 26, 2025)
  • AIR Rally Mid-Point Check In (October 25, 2025)
  • AIR Final Countdown & Submissions Due (November 21, 2025)
  • AIR Awards Ceremony (January 16, 2026)

Why should you participate?

Web and digital application professionals receive:

  • Receive professional accessibility training valued at over $4,000.
  • Collaborate with a global community in a fun, meaningful competition.
  • Work side-by-side with industry-leading accessibility mentors.
  • Create real-world impact by building accessible websites for mission-driven clients.
  • Compete for the prestigious AIR Award – winners receive a free ticket to attend the AccessU general conference sessions in 2026.

Nonprofits, community groups, schools, and artists receive:

  • Get a custom-built accessible website at essentially no cost.
  • A new website that shows a strong commitment to digital inclusion.
  • The opportunity to work with teams of web professionals as committed volunteers.
  • Effective outreach to new audiences, including potential donors, volunteers, and clients, through a new accessible website.

Space for everyone means access for all.
