Public Input Requested for Rural Health Transformation Program Funding

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking public input from interested stakeholders to contribute ideas on how Texas should utilize the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) federal funding to transform rural healthcare. Review the guidance and submit input by September 9th.


Rural Health Grant Writing Course

UTA offers a free online, introductory grant writing course that walks you through the various steps of finding and writing a grant. The Fall 2025 course will begin on August 25th and end on October 26th, requiring a time commitment of three to five hours per week. There are only 40 spots available. Learn more and sign up here.

Athletic Brewing Co.: Two for the Trails (September 4, 2025)

Grants for nonprofits for trail maintenance, waterway protection, urban greenspace improvement, and broader environmental preservation projects. Award: $5,000 – $10,000. Geographic Scope: Nationwide.

Austin Community Foundation: The Black Fund of Central Texas (September 13, 2025)

Grants for Black-led nonprofits working to create lasting, community-rooted change across Central Texas. Award: 20 awards will be distributed from a total of $250,000 in available funding. Geographic Scope: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties.
