No Membership and No Subscriptions. Just help.

Nothing beats human connection. At Nonprofit Austin, our work is human-centered by design. We lead with empathy, meet people where they are, and focus on practical support that makes a real difference.

As a public service of Austin Community College, our focus is simple: to support your volunteer, professional, and organizational growth. We help you be better and have a greater impact in our community.

• Accessible and affordable
No membership or subscription fees, just access to free professional development and affordable certificate programs designed to strengthen your skills and advance you in your career. When resources already exist, we direct you to them. When there’s no cost to us, there’s no cost to you.

• Support tailored to you
Through consulting, hands-on learning, and one-on-one support, we work closely with nonprofit practitioners and organizations to meet their unique needs. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.

• A human-centered approach
We lead with empathy, meet people where they are, and focus on practical support that makes a real difference. Our focus is supporting you, your growth, and the impact you’re working to make in your community.

• Connection that matters
While we offer online tools and resources, including access to our Grant Research Center, we prioritize in-person interaction to foster meaningful collaboration and shared learning.

• Expanded resources through ACC
Our connection to Austin Community College provides access to professional development, credentials like the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), and meeting spaces and campus support.

At this time of significant uncertainty and change, we offer stability as we complete our 25th year of service.

Contact us. We are here to help.

Because Passion Alone Does Not Finish Projects

Managing projects in the nonprofit sector often means balancing limited resources, shifting priorities, and high expectations. This four-session certificate is designed to give nonprofit practitioners a practical framework for running projects that stay on track, on scope, and sustainable for their teams. Each session blends concept, case study, and hands-on application, with a strong focus on real-world use.

What you will walk away with:

  • Know what is and what is not a project
  • Choose the right approach for your organization
  • Build a project charter, timeline, and documentation practice that is realistic for your organization’s resources
  • Hold the line on scope creep
  • Spot when a project is going sideways and reframe
  • Leave with a real, usable project plan built around something you are ready to work on

By the end, you will not only understand the concepts, but leave with a plan you can immediately put into action in your organization.
